Care Guide — Denim Up Studio
Every Denim Up Studio piece is made from reclaimed denim and vintage textiles — materials that already have a story. With a little care, your piece will carry that story for years to come.
🧺 Everyday Care
Spot clean first. For small marks or surface dirt, a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap is all you need. Gently dab — don't rub — and air dry.
Store thoughtfully. Keep your pieces away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use. A cotton pouch or dust bag works beautifully.
🌊 Washing Instructions
When a deeper clean is needed:
- Turn the item inside out
- Wash cold on a gentle cycle — or hand wash
- Air dry flat; avoid the dryer
- Iron on medium-low with a pressing cloth if needed
- Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals — they break down the fibers and fade the character of the denim
✨ Hardware & Embellishments
Gold-plated shell beads, lobster clasps, split rings, and zipper pulls are chosen for durability — but they appreciate a little love too.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfume, or lotions
- Wipe hardware dry if it gets wet
- Store pieces flat or hanging to prevent stress on clasps and rings
🌿 Aging Gracefully
Upcycled denim is meant to evolve. Slight softening, fading at the folds, and gentle wear over time aren't flaws — they're the piece becoming yours. Each mark is part of the story.
That's the beauty of slow fashion: it gets better with you.
